Razer Krait quick review .

Hello peopleos ! (oh no , I just used that word !?)

Today I'm going to do a quick review of my 2 week old Razer Krait .

At first glance , the Krait was like a beauty , the box and testimonials from customers made sound like this mouse was THE mouse .
My first complaint is that I bought it at a much higher price , it was sold at LYN for about RM95 and I bought it at OU for RM150 ! But that was my fault , I was a careless buyer . Moving on ...
There's nothing really special about the ergonomics of this Mouse if you view it from a birds-eye-view , however , when you actually use it , you will indeed feel the difference between the Krait and other normal Mice . The first difference being the slant surface on the sides of the mouse , it's made that way just because it's supposed to be held "Claw/Fingertip" style according to RazerZone.com , I'll talk about that later .
There are only 3 buttons on this mouse : Left button , Scroll Wheel and Right button . You can put macros on the buttons or assign keys on them , but I haven't figured out how to do that on Vista yet . The buttons feel really nice , it has this slight rubbery feeling to it that makes it "non-slip" , it's also has Razer's Hyperresponse technology on it , making the reaction time of the mouse a few milliseconds faster than the conventional mice , "A FEW MILLISECONDS ?!!" some of you might shout , it might not seem and sound like a difference , but if you're like me , playing games like CSS or Cod4 with the Mouse ... Every millisecond counts . . .

The sensitivity is nice , it's 1600Dpi and it can perform up to 1200 actions per minute in your average RTS game . At first it gets hard to get use to , but you'll get the hang of it.... eventually .

The claw-like gripping style is also quite easy to get used to , although it's less comfortable than the "Palm" gripping technique , it will get you more accuracy and speed .

Verdict

I like this mouse , however , it's an old mouse , all the features mentioned earlier or better can be found on the newest additions for Razer , example : The Deathadder , Copperhead etc.etc. The only thing the Krait beats the others in is it's price . So if you're looking for a budget , averaged-performance mouse , get the Razer Krait , but if you're willing to spend about RM50-60 more , get the copperhead or deathadder , or maybe the diamondback 3G , as they clearly outperform the Krait .

That wraps up my review . Thanks .
