First attempt

Justa little thought on what I've been researching about so far...

It's about God's omniscience and the free will paradox .

It goes like this ;

If God knew the future , then do we still have free will ?

I reconcile this with Open Theism(See Greg Boyd) , but I've been exploring the "Classical Theism" option for the past few days .

So here's what I got .

If God knew the future , that would mean that God would know that (For example) , Li Yen will marry Wei Xian .

But does this equate to Wei Xian OR Li Yen not having the freedom to freely choose each other ?

So an analogy that a friend of mine (Michael) , gave to me over our discussions was this (It isn't exactly what he mentioned , but this is what I got from it) ; Say we're actually a movie , and God was the observer , and he was watching it via Blu-ray . And let's say that God chose to watch the last chapter of the movie first . In the last chapter , God sees Li Yen and Wei Xian saying "I do" to each other . So he replays the whole disc , starting from chapter one . God then sees the both of them arguing , but he knows that they will end up in marriage . So what God actually saw in the last chapter was Li Yen freely choosing to accept Wei Xian and vice-versa ; A result of the free choices of them both .

In other words , the knowledge is defined by the choice, not the choice defined by the knowledge.

Interesting thought session there....

Well since this is the first time that I really posted about apologetic/sensitive issues , I would need some C&C from serious people like Ivan or DJ perhaps...

Have I presented it in a comprehensible manner ?
Is my grammar okay ?
Any objections to the facts ?

Also , what differs God from lets say a .. "Flying Spaghetti Monster" ?

WLC ripped through his opponent when his opponent tried to make an argument like the FSM argument when WLC invoked the Kalam...

This post is my first attempt at blogging about apologetics and what I've learned .
